WWE NXT Results – January 4, 2012
We are Wild and Young and in Little Rock, Arkansas. Your announcers are Josh ‘The Voice of a New Generation’ Mathews and William ‘Time to take out the Cole’ Regal. Your host/general manager is Matt ‘Excelsior Hotel’ Striker.
Matt is already in the ring and he welcomes everyone to NXT. In the main event, Derrick Bateman will face Darren Young. As we are on the road to 100 episodes, it is time for more alumni from NXT. This week’s special guest is someone Matt feels is the next breakout star. He brings out ‘The Natural’ Michael McGillicutty from season two.
Matt congratulates Michael for becoming a WWE Tag Team Champion but Michael won’t have any of Matt’s platitudes. Michael says that he has arrived. Michael says this show sucks. He remembers being on NXT. He says that it gave him absolutely nothing. He says that he went on to jump John Cena. He became a part of the most dominant faction in WWE history, the Nexus. He is a former WWE Tag Team Champion. He didn’t accomplish these things because of NXT. He accomplished these things because he does what he wants when he wants and nobody sees him coming. It doesn’t matter what show you are on, nobody is going to stop him from becoming a success.
Alex Riley makes his way out and he says the Varsity Villain is back as he makes his way to the ring.
Matt reminds us that Alex was on NXT as well. Alex says that it is great to be back on NXT in Little Rock as he pulls a Foley. Alex says that he wishes he could say that he had a good relationship with him, like he does with Matt Striker. Alex says that they had the chance to make a career out of WWE through NXT and then he comes back and runs down the show and the city the show is in.
Alex says that it doesn’t make you something just for attacking John Cena with a group of people. Alex says that the only way to earn respect in this business is in the ring with your bare hands. Alex says that if Michael wants some respect, why not start with him and why not start tonight.
Michael pie faces Riley and Riley with a take down and they start to brawl as a referee makes his way to the ring.
